The Junior Welfare League of Enid is offering a $1,000 scholarship for a senior in Garfield County. Gentry Neal Scholarship for Volunteerism is due March 1st. Download application here.
The ORRC Scholarship will need to be turned in at the Enid FSA Office. Do not send it to the ORRC office. The Garfield County Farm Service Center will deliver it there. Due in the office by April 15th.
The Northwest Oklahoma Osteopathic Foundation is offering a scholarship to high school Seniors interested in medicine as a career. Applications are due February 22, 2019.
The Garber Alumni Scholarship will be a paper application as in the past. There are 4 scholarships awarded from this application: the Meryl Huntsinger Award; Garber Championship Award; Breckinridge Award; and Garber Alumni Award. Make sure your senior applies for these scholarships. They can be used at any college, university or tech center.
The local scholarship application is available and is due March 29th. to Mrs. Lamle. Our local organizations (Lions, Volunteer Firefighters, GCIA, Athenian Club, True and Honest Workers, Linda DeShazo) use this application to make selections.
St Mary's Volunteer Scholarship will again be available. Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. With their application they are required to turn in an official transcript, and Federal Income Tax Return, Adjusted Gross Income page.
Those seniors who plan to attend Oklahoma State University should apply for the OSU Foundation Scholarships that are available only to Garber students. They are the Lloyd and Blance Long Outstanding Senior Award, Earl H Naugle Scholarship, and Hal and Jean Long Scholarship. Applications will be available in my office and will be due in early April, 2019. The Jerry and Sue Schmidt Foundation Scholarship is selected from the Freshman Application for Admission and Scholarships. A student must be enrolling in the colleges of agriculture, human sciences, or education.
Farm Credit of Enid will again be accepting scholarship applications this Spring. Applicants must be a child or grandchild of a Farm Credit Stockholder. Applications will be available in my office or you may go to Farm Credit's website (www.fcenid.com).
Gene Belcher Scholarship-All New Applicant information is due March 1st for fall applications and November 1st for spring applications. Continuing Scholarships deadlines for Transcripts and grades are September 1st for fall and February 1st for spring. Checks will be written to the schools on February 15th and September 15th .
Keystone Food Service Scholarships- Paul's scholarship will be awarded to a Senior in a current Keystone school, while Debi's will be awarded to a family member of a Keystone employee who is currently a Senior. Vance Spouse's Club Student Merit Scholarship- The Vance Spouses' Club (VSC) is offering scholarships to area high school seniors and current college students who aredependents* of one of the following: 1. Active duty or reserve military personnel assigned to Vance AFB 2. Local area retired or deceased military personnel 3. DoD contractors at Vance AFB 4. Civilian DoD employees at Vance AFB * A dependent, for scholarship purposes is defined as a currently unmarried natural child, an adopted child, or a stepchild, who has not passed his/her 21st birthday. Applicants must be authorized dependent privileges and possess a valid dependent id card. If you would like an application Mrs. Lamle has them in her office.
Farm Credit of Enid Scholarship- Complete application and return to Farm Credit of Enid, ACA office by April 1. (The application may be found at fcenid.com.) Return completed application to: Farm Credit of Enid 1605 West Owen K. Garriott Road Enid, OK 73703. Applications postmarked after April 1 will not be considered. No extensions will be granted.
Northwest Oklahoma Disabled American Veterans is offering cash scholarships again this year to graduating seniors and college students. The scholarships are directed towards veterans and their family members. Specific requirements are listed in the attached document. Application
Pete & Lela Stavros Scholarship Due March 1st - Eligibility: Graduating Oklahoma high school seniors who are children and relatives of Oklahoma firefighters who are members of the Oklahoma State Firefighters Association (active or retired). All application materials will be reviewed by the Pete and Lela Stavros Educational Foundation and the Oklahoma State Firefighters Association to verify the applicant’s relationship to an Oklahoma State Firefighters Association member.
Ironworkers Local 584 Harvey A. Swift Scholarship Due May 1st - Eligibility: Must be children, adopted children, stepchildren, grandchildren, adopted grandchildren and step-grandchildren of members or deceased members of Iron Workers Local 584. Graduating from high school with an unweighted GPA ≥ 3.0 or greater in their senior year of high school.
Western Oklahoma Building Trades Scholarship - Due April 1st - Applicants must be one of the following (1) graduating high school seniors who are presently concurrently enrolled at any accredited, not-for-profit, vocational technical, or two or four year institution, OR(2) students continuing academic study after high school with one year of completed college (age 23 or younger). A birth child or legally adopted child who is a tax dependent and currently eligible to be on a union member’s insurance.
Valerie Koelsch Memorial Scholarship Due March 1st Eligibility: Dependents of union members from Local Union #124. Traditional students must be a child of Local Union #124, and must be able to demonstrate one year of competence in post high school education. Non-traditional students must be a member, spouse or child of Local Union #124 and must be 20 years of age or older.
